Ladies Circle Continue Support For Poynton Juniors

 

For the second year in succession Poynton Lacrosse is very proud to be supported by Poynton Ladies Circle who have continued their investment in Junior Development at the Club. We thank the Ladies Circle for their contribution which ensures that we have the equipment and facilities to offer introductory and development coaching sessions that are accessible to all young people in the community. Indeed last season saw an increase in Junior numbers with our youngest group of Under 12 players swelling to over 35. Poynton Ladies Circle member Angela Colebrook presented the cheque for £250 to Club Chairman Graham Edmunds at the recent ' Embrace The Games' community event held at Poynton High School.

Poynton Ladies Circle is a group of like-minded girls in our thirties and early forties who get together socially twice a month on a Wednesday evening. Our social events have recently included climbing, curry night, murder mystery, cycling and sailing. Poynton Blackbirds Under 12s lacrosse team is the thriving feeder section for Poynton Lacrosse Club and aims to provide all children with an equal chance to be involved regardless of ability, and to give both boys and girls the opportunity to learn a great team sport in a positive environment.

Coaching is relaxed and fun and we make sure that all children get a chance to play in Saturday morning games as soon as they are ready.
