Earlier this year Sport England undertook a nationwide survey to gain an understanding of people's 'satisfaction with the quality of the sporting experience’. Over 300 lacrosse players and club officials were invited to respond and the results of the survey are now available.
For many years Poynton Lacrosse Club has been associated with the Stockport Metros Lacrosse programme which organises junior lacrosse tours to the USA. Several of our young players recently enjoyed a trip to Maryland and took on some of the best junior teams in the USA. Find out more here.

Starting out at the club, and previously a regular in our Under 19 and First Team squads, Poynton's Sam Russell has been invited to study (and play lacrosse!) at one of America's
most exclusive and prestigious high schools, the Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio.
2007 was the most successful season in the Club's history, winning the Division 2 Championship, Division 4 and 5 Championships and the Junior Flags final. Poynton were also awarded the Brine Trophy for the most successful club in the North of England. This is a look back on a memorable year from Chairman Graham Edmunds.
